The Challenges

An engineer's job is to solve problems. We call our problems challenges. At KDN, kids are the engineer!

You can explore different types of engineering in the challenges listed below. Pick a challenge that interests you. Think about a gadget you could make to meet the challenge. There are many different solutions to each challenge. If your first idea doesn't work, try something different. That's the way real engineers work, too!

All challenges involve simple machines, communications skills, integration of technology into the curriculum, and collaborative learning. Additional concepts addressed in specific challenges include: drama, art, gravity, friction, and magnetism.
