Overview

DCM Summer Mini-Camps are a great way to keep the young minds of children aged 7-10 engaged when out of school for the summer. Hands-on exploration in the scientific method – awareness, tool practice, project plan, build time, test and retest – is applied to three different disciplines – chemistry, carpentry and electricity.

  • Mini-camp sessions are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 – Noon
  • Appropriate for ages 7-10
Children must be 7 by June 1, 2010 and no older than 11 by September 1, 2010.
  • Maximum enrollment per mini-camp session is 15.
  • Children do not need an adult partner to participate. An adult must drop the child off and pick the child up at the room.
  • Each camp session includes Museum floor time supervised by Museum staff.
  • Each day in mini-camp includes a snack.
  • Fees:
    • Members - $135 per mini-camp session
    • Nonmembers - $160 per mini-camp session
