Creative thinking is on a roll this season, in the Interact
With Art Gallery on the upper level!
Come join the fun and get your wheels turning! Children love wheels.
Bikes, cars and favorite toys have wheels.
Wheels give us the power to go fast, move big heavy things and ride to
places far, far away. In Wheel
Works of Art children can connect with the creative side of familiar
wheels. Then, ready to build on that knowledge, discover fantastic moving
machines created by some of today’s cutting edge kinetic artists. Wheels make
machines work, but it takes a lot of creativity to know how to make a gear turn
enough other parts to make a clock run or a CD player play. Come explore the use of wheels and how they
can be used in art. Appropriate for ages
up to 10 years. Free to DCM members and
free with general admission, presented locally by Continental Acura - Audi of Naperville.
Ask about our Creativity Programs© for different ages each month—for a
complete listing, please visit our web site. Learning Labs enhance skills in math, science or the arts—for
group visit information, please call ext. 6150.

All
behavior has meaning! Parents and teachers interpret the behavior of the
children in our care in order to better plan activities for them, care for them
and teach them. Understanding a child’s ability to process sensory information
can be very helpful when trying to interpret the meaning of childhood behavior
as well as planning interaction and intervention strategies. Time will be spent
discussing the possible meaning of specific behaviors and how to help the
children who demonstrate these behaviors. Dr. Jennifer Rosinia is a Registered
Occupational Therapist and Child Development Specialist with a growing national
reputation as a powerful speaker and consultant. She is the president of Kid
Links Unlimited, Inc., a company whose mission is to link theory to practice,
with parents, professionals and kids to bring out their optimal potential. She
brings a healthy balance of humor, passion and expertise to all of her
presentations. Don't miss this one! (1.5 CPDUs) Please call

DUPAGE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM:
DuPage
Children's Museum helps kids learn how to succeed. Throughout any given day, hundreds of visitors
come through the Big Red Door of the Museum to engage in three floors of fun, hands-on
activities. It is a playful environment where children 6 months to 10 years old
and the important adults in their lives learn and play together in thoughtfully
planned “neighborhoods”, with exhibits and programs designed to promote skill
development in math, science and the arts.
It helps prepare them for a future where curiosity, creative thinking,
imaginative problem solving and learning skills will be needed to interact with
technology that is yet to be invented, to solve problems we can’t imagine and
work in new kinds of jobs that don’t exist today.
