Naperville, Illinois - DuPage Children's Museum just received a
$50,000 grant from the Tellabs Foundation, to help the Museum develop and
re-design the Math Connections Neighborhood, on the top floor of the
Museum. The new permanent exhibit will
anchor the Museum's math initiatives and is made up of approximately 20
open-ended, math-related activities for young children. "Early experience
with, and understanding of, mathematics is fundamental to success in later
studies of science and engineering," said
Interdisciplinary specialists in mathematics, early childhood development, elementary education and related fields will help develop the updated exhibit activities. The Museum plans to open the new exhibit in Autumn 2007.

General Admission: $7.50 per person,
ages one through 59.

per person, ages 60 and over.
