OUR MISSION

DONATE

The DuPage Children’s Museum mission is to stimulate curiosity, creativity, thinking and problem solving in young children through:

  • Self-directed, open-ended experiences
  • Integration of the arts, science and math, and
  • The adult-child learning partnership.

DuPage Children’s Museum (DCM) is a family-friendly, nonprofit treasure located in the heart of Naperville. Its mission focuses on stimulating curiosity, creativity, thinking, and problem solving skills in young children. It’s no surprise, then, that its perspective on raising funds is no less creative or thoughtful.

Families depend on the Museum’s innovative and interactive exhibits to stimulate young children’s minds and encourage them to question, create, and solve problems as they play and engage in a learning partnership with adults. The Museum depends, in turn, on the generosity of its donors.

More than 300,000 annual visitors travel from both near and far to experience the more than 150 hands-on, early childhood activities that center on math, science and the arts. Admission fees, memberships and grants help offset the Museum’s annual operating budget, but they don’t cover it all.
