This Week's Activity: Weber Irish Dance
Activity Begins: 6 p.m.
Dancers from the Weber School of Irish Dance will showcase the rhythmic splendor of the hard shoe and the eloquent grace of the ghillie in a toe-tapping return engagement. Students will perform Celtic Jigs, Reels, Hornpipes, Tipping Reels and Set dances and share with the DCM audience some of the meaning and history of the Irish culture and how its expressed through dance.
Museum and exhibits are open until 8:00 pm.
Studio Drop-In Activity Theme for the Month: Bugs, Insects and Other Crawly Creatures
Today’s Studio Drop-In Activity: Wings, Math / Art Discovery - Many insects sport symmetrical wings. Make a costume pair and fly up to our Play's the Thing exhibit to wear them on the stage.
Studio Drop-Ins are activities in the Art Studio that are FREE to DCM members and/or with Museum admission. Pre-registration is not required.
Activities are on-going throughout each session and will explore alternating math-, science- and art-related discovery projects that support a different learning theme each month. Some sessions provide the opportunity to take something home with you.
All sessions allow you and your child the opportunity to explore and experiment with a variety of materials.
