Research shows that investing in early learning yield the greatest returns. - James Heckman, Nobel Laureate Economist
DuPage Children's Museum wants ALL children to be prepared to succeed in school and in life. The Museum creates a foundation of learning through play focused in the areas of math, science and the arts that has a vitally important impact on the futures of the children we serve.
This video features several testimonials from people who act as Champions for Children in their every day lives – the director of Lifelink Head Start, an area kindergarten teacher, the parent of an autistic child, a DCM member and a DCM volunteer. Each one makes a statement on the importance of the Museum experience on children that they represent. The last interview features comments from a pair of the youngest investors in early learning – eight year old cousins, Michael and Tommy Hayes who explain why they decided that the proceeds from their lemonade stand should be donated to the Museum because “we really love it and we really want to keep it open.”
